NEA Rallies Industry to Tackle Fuel Poverty
Enact and CROSS Funding Partnership to leave no stone unturned at the NEA Annual Conference
Award winning energy consultancy, Enact Energy, will be exhibiting alongside the CROSS Funding Partnership at this year’s NEA Annual Conference held at the University of Birmingham on the 15th – 17th September.
Promoting Enact’s services including the UK wide insulation grant scheme, the Heat Project, Enact will also be enhancing the awareness and support of the Local Government Association (LGA) accredited Carbon Reduction One Stop Shop (CROSS) Funding Partnership.
Enact continues to hold an enviable position in the industry through its various energy saving project management services for local authorities, housing associations, fuel utilities and housing organisations. The Heat Project, now in its eleventh year, contributes greatly to helping local authorities and homeowners throughout the UK reduce their carbon emissions and fuel bills through the installation of loft and cavity wall insulation.
The exciting and innovative CROSS Funding Partnership is the latest project that Enact is to use its experience and knowledge to promote. The LGA accredited CROSS Funding Partnership has been formed to improve the efficiency and economies of scale of installing loft and cavity wall insulation into social housing. By encouraging social housing providers of all sizes to group together properties, CROSS is able to offer energy saving installations and therefore large scale CO2 savings to energy suppliers, by way of an auction process.
Adrian Liddell, Sales Director of Enact explains:
“This year’s NEA Conference focuses on the issue of tackling fuel poverty; an issue that is of increasing concern due to the rising cost of living. Together the Heat Project and the CROSS Funding Partnership tackle fuel poverty in the UK by providing two alternative but easily accessible routes to saving money through the installation of loft and cavity wall insulation. The NEA Conference permits us to illustrate the simple ways in which everyone can make a contribution to reducing the UKs carbon emissions and fuel poverty through the installation of energy saving, and therefore money saving measures.”
The NEA Annual Conference provides an opportunity for Enact to demonstrate its proactive approach to changing market and consumer dynamics through the promotion of the innovative CROSS Funding Partnership, which projects a common sense of purpose and unified responsibility amongst energy suppliers, social housing providers, and government bodies. The CROSS Funding Partnership helps social housing providers achieve fuel poverty strategies whilst ensuring they meet their Decent Homes and Climate Change targets.
